The purpose of the research is to outline the features of the mechanisms of law enforcement in the field of health care and to identify possible ways of their improvement. Research methods and approaches - approaches: civilizational, anthropological, axiological; methods: comparative-legal, systemic, semiotic-hermeneutic, method of studying legal practice, analysis, synthesis, deduction, induction, analogy.The concept of law enforcement in the field of medical care as the activity of the competent authorities and state officials in the preparation and adoption of individual acts in the case on the basis of legal facts and specific regulations have been researched. Legal enforcement takes place when medico-legal relations participant fails to exercise its rights on its own. The objective of law enforcement activity, which consists in organization the implementation of the legal regulations by the participants of medico-legal relations in the field of providing medical care and ensuring the proper response of the relevant state authorities and officials to possible violations in the said sphere has been outlined. The peculiarities and problematic aspects of the legal regulation of individual relations in the field of medical care have been provided, as well as the inequality in law enforcement that arises as a result of the shortcomings of the legal regulation. The necessity to consider the ECHR case law as a factor in improving the enforcement mechanisms in the healthcare sector has been substantiated. The papers of domestic and foreign authors have been analyzed together with the domestic jurisprudence and ECtHR case law.
