It is shown that the proposed method of soldering CCC using an intermediate layer of galvanically deposited copper provides the strength of the connection at the level of strength of the solder and, in the case of high-temperature solders, is at the level of the yield strength of copper. It is shown that the proposed method of direct welding with titanium provides the strength of the connection, close to the mechanical strength of CCC. It has been experimentally shown that even at negligible temperatures (900-1100 °C), during the pyrolysis process, a significant saturation of the surface layers of molybdenum and tungsten with carbon is observed, with the formation of a carbide layer 1-2 mm. The carbide layer formed is brittle and does not provide reliable fixation of the metal in the carbon material. The migration of metal (tungsten, molybdenum, iron, etc.) into the adjacent layers of the carbon composite is also observed. This migration is well visualized by X-ray computed tomography.
