The subject of research - the characteristic damage to the structural elements of the gas-air channel of the engine and ways to solve the problem of protection of gas turbine engines from damage by solid foreign objects. The purpose of the work is to create a training software package (software simulation model of a bypass afterburner turbojet engine) to study cadets specializing in "Military aircraft, helicopter and engines" the consequences of foreign objects entering the engine's airway and the destruction of its structural elements. Research methods - factor and system analysis, 3D modeling were used in the work to achieve the goal. During the work the following results were obtained: - the analysis of possible variants of damage of gas turbine engines by foreign objects is carried out; characteristic damage to the structural elements of the gas-air path in operation; - a study of existing ways to solve the problem of protection of gas turbine engines from damage by solid foreign objects; - developed a training software package to study the consequences of damage to the elements of the gas-air path of the engine due to the ingress of foreign objects into the engine; - developed methodological recommendations.
