Kukhar Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Petrochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The purpose of the project is to develop the membrane-catalytic method of obtaining lower olefins by hydrogenation carbon dioxide. The goal of the stage is to study the activity of membrane-catalytic composites in the formation of lower olefins in the process of hydrogenation of carbon dioxide. Membrane-catalytic composites from the active catalytic and proton-conductive components based on the thermo-and chemoresistant flexible carrier have been developed. Two types of catalytic components were investigating: metal-containing and metal-free. The catalytic activity of the developed composites in the hydrogenation of CO2 was evaluated. Gas products obtained in the hydrogenation process had methane, ethane, ethene, propane, propene, iso-butene, iso-butane, n-butane, n-butene, neo-pentane and n-pentane. It is shown experimentally that platinum γ-alumina oxide in combination with a cobalt catalyst selectively hydrates carbon dioxide to methane and demonstrates the possibility of increasing the carbon chain with subsequent isomerization. An attempt to slow down the process at the stage of selective formation of alkenes at this catalytic contact was failed. Nickel-molybdenum-alumina oxide active catalytic component in combination with a cobalt catalyst selectively hydrates carbon dioxide to methane with the possibility of increasing the carbon chain through the formation of alkenes. Ferrum-containing catalyst component selectively hydrates carbon dioxide to methane with the possibility of increasing the carbon chain through the formation of alkenes.
