Subject of study is power performance, environmental performance and fuel economy of engines and vehicles in improving engine systems and using methods of rational motor fuels use. The goal of the scientific and research work is to develop directions for improving fuel economy and environmental performance of vehicular engines by improving the fuel supply systems and control systems and the rational use of conventional and alternative fuels. Methods of research - theoretical and experimental. The first chapter presents the results of experimental and theoretical studies on the effects of hydrogen containing gas and alcohol additives on fuel economy and environmental performance of gasoline engines and vehicles under operating conditions. The estimation of use efficiency the standard and biodiesel fuel in diesel engines with divided and undivided combustion chambers for wheeled vehicles is presented. The second chapter provides an analysis of the schemes and designs of water injection systems. The chapter describes creation of an experimental system of adding water to the air charge of the diesel engine. In the chapter the effect of adding water to the air charge on fuel economy, power and environmental performance of diesel engine is determined. It is compared with the basic engine characteristics. The experimental system of adding water to the air charge of D-243 diesel and the results of its research are presented. The third chapter presents the fuel consumption and harmful substances concentrations of car in driving cycle. It is obtained for New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) modes using the chassis dynamometer testing system. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
