A method for the direct measurement of the anomalous magnetic dipole moment of a short-lived tau-lepton on the Large Hadron Collider at CERN by studying the precession of the spin of a tau-lepton by means of a two-bent crystal setup was proposed. The ionization loss spectra of high energy electrons passing through thin Si crystals at a small angle to the plane (100) were obtained under conditions where the dechanneling length is close to the crystal thickness.
