Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2  The production of charm c-quarks, quark-antiquark pairs in conjunction with W bosons, and baryons in proton-proton collisions at energies of the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC), and protons on the gas target is simulated using generator MadGraph5_aMC @ NLO. The cross sections and polarization observables in electroweak production of c-quarks together with jets and W-bosons under kinematical conditions of the experiments at the LHC CERN are calculated, and interpretation of the ALICE and LHCb measurements is given. The possibility of measuring the magnetic dipole moments of short-lived baryons containing the charm c-quark on the LHC CERN is analyzed. A scheme of experiments is proposed in which the heavy baryons Λc and Ξc, created in collisions of protons at the LHC with a gas fixed target, get into a bent crystal. Measuring the rotation angle of the baryon polarization in the crystal allows one to obtain information on their magnetic moment. The polarization of baryons at the exit of crystal can be obtained from distributions of final particles in baryon decays. The parameters of the crystals and all the necessary factors in the experiments proposed for the LHC CERN are calculated. The width of decay of the charmed baryon Λc into Delta resonance and K-meson, which is used at the LHC as a source of information on polarization of charmed baryon, is calculated. The comparative analysis of different mechanisms of deflection of relativistic particles in a bent crystal is carried out. Angular distributions of short-lived charged particles, scattered in a bent crystal with different mechanisms of their motion in the crystal lattice, are obtained. The features of the angular distribution of relativistic charged particles which are moving in the field of a thin crystal, are analyzed. The process of transition from scattering of relativistic charged particles on the axes of a crystal to scattering on its planes is modeled.
