Theoretical bases of algorithmic processing of digital video images with measuring information about geometric parameters and motion parameters of objects are developed. Mathematical model of formation and transformation of measuring information in a instrument system is investigated. It is proposed to use the methods on the basis of artificial neural networks to adapt the instrument system to non-stationary measurement conditions and for processing of measuring information on mechanical quantities. Methods and algorithmic to ensure the processing of measuring video information provide highly accurate determination of geometric parameters and movement parameters of objects of measurement, as well as other mechanical quantities associated with these parameters and Characterize measurement objects. The effectiveness of this development is confirmed by numerical modeling and experimental researches. The list of mechanical quantities, subject to measurement in applied problems: quality control of industrial products from natural stone is analyzed; determination of physical and mechanical characteristics of diesel biofuels on the basis of research of video images of its sawing processes; control of environmental parameters of the environment based on research of sample video images.
