In the examination of patients with diarrhea and suspected CDI, the causative agent of C. difficile was identified in 9.7% of the examined, the nature of dysbiotic disorders in the composition of the intestinal microflora corresponded to the 2nd and 3rd degrees of severity. Toxin-forming properties and antibiotic sensitivity of all isolated C. difficile strains were studied. An effective scheme for the isolation of C. difficile from clinical material is proposed. A medium for isolating C. difficile strains has been developed, which is characterized by high growth properties and selective action. This development can be applied in clinical laboratory practice to isolate pure cultures of C.difficile strains from clinical material and to establish toxin-producing properties.
