The object of the research is the process of formation and development of European economic science, the formation of its fundamental values and traditions. In the course of the work a number of results have been obtained that have scientific and practical value: - the evolution of economic theory in the context of its value orientations and the contribution of European economics schools to its development were analyzed, which made it possible to highlight the humanistic values and traditions of European economic science and their impact on the development of all economic science and humanization of the economy as a whole; -the definition of economic science has been improved through a system of values that act as a moral imperative and the fundamental principle of the humanization of economic theory and formation of its modern paradigm; - developed a methodological approach to assessing the level of inclusiveness of territorial development, which covers not only production indicators, but also focuses on the problems of human capital development, social protection of the population, environmental safety of territories and the ability to make constructive management decisions aimed at achieving European standards of quality of life and implementation of the Eurointegration strategy of Ukraine's development. The main provisions of the research are used in the educational process, and some of its results have found practical application in the work of state authorities, in particular the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
