The study objectives: 1) to substantiate the typical combat missions that can be accomplished by a modernized Mi-2 helicopter and typical targets to hit; 2) to determine the most acceptable composition of the aviation armament complex of the modernized Mi-2 helicopter and typical targets to hit; 3) to validate the technical and design solutions laid down in the concept of creating of modernized Mi-2 helicopter’s aviation armament; 4) to make a preliminary assessment of probability of hitting typical targets with a proposed aviation armament complex of modernized Mi-2 helicopter; 5) to elaborate proposals according to the methodology, tactics, employment and possible variants of combat loading of the modernized Mi-2 helicopter with a set of aviation armament. Research methods used: system analysis and synthesis, mathematical modeling, natural experiment, mathematical statistics, comparative evaluation. In the course of the work, an analysis of the current state and prospects for the substantiation of the optimal composition of the aviation armament complex of a modernized Mi-2 helicopter was carried out, theoretical research and practical tests were performed with combat use of aviation means of destruction – UAM type C-8. Typical combat missions the modernized Mi-2 helicopter equipped with aviation armament complex can be tasked to accomplish, as well as typical targets for engagement were substantiated.
