It is established that the flows of liquid metal and the transfer of thermal energy during welding from a power supply can be most stably controlled. When welding to a power supply, the effect on the flows of liquid metal is significantly reduced. For stable control of liquid metal flows, heat transfer, it is necessary to develop a method with a mobile current supply. The assumption about the possibility of grinding the structural components of the weld metal during welding with the action of alternating magnetic fields. The calculated dependences for estimating the stress state of welded butt joints are obtained. The technology of surfacing the anticorrosive layer with a tape electrode has been improved.
