The most complete information can be obtained through the use of a system of various modern molecular genetic methods, which will provide an assessment of the diversity, taxonomic structure of soil microbiocenosis and its biocoenotic functions. The variety of microorganisms associated with plant roots is huge and amounts to tens of thousands of species. However, only recently has the significant role of the microbiome in plant life been recognized and the idea of considering it as a second plant genome has been put forward. Understanding the mechanisms of formation and the functional load of the rhizosphere microbiome will develop effective systems to increase plant productivity, enrich our knowledge in the field of ecology of plant-microbial interactions. Soil information is used to develop recommendations for best management practices, including determining the need and quantity of fertilizers or other substances to improve soil productivity, assessing the suitability of land for crop production, assessing crop yields, determining irrigation needs and planning, selecting appropriate crops, productivity calculation, etc. The scientific-methodical manual contains a description of molecular-genetic methods intended for application, first of all, in research institutions by the employees who have experience of work with basic procedures of molecular biology. It can be used in the assessment of soil microbial communities, monitoring of agents of introduced biological products, assessment of the impact of various biotic and abiotic factors on the diversity of soil microorganisms, as well as in the use of microbial group analysis as a marker of environmental conditions.
