During annealing, the final formation of carbide precipitates of the M23C6 and MX type occurs, which restrain the movement of dislocations and stabilize the structure with an average subgrain size of ~ 200 nm. It is established that the submicron structure of T91 steel intensifies the process of surface oxide film formation during exposure to lead melt, and the formed continuous film based on Cr and Si blocks the penetration of lead into the depth of the matrix and alloying elements into the melt, which improves corrosion properties. Studies of mechanical characteristics have shown that the maximum high-temperature tensile strength after annealing is observed in steel with higher values of carbide emissions of the MX type and was 568 MPa and 415 MPa for annealing at 550 ° C and 600 ° C, respectively. It is shown that the swelling of steel obtained using the proposed IPD and subsequent annealing 600 ° C / 25h, which has a submicron structure 1.3 times lower than in steel T91 in the initial state. Such a difference in the levels of swelling is due to the difference in structure, and, as a consequence, to the different mechanisms of radiation damage.
