As a result of the project, the available data on the distribution of alien fish species is analyzed. The objects of study are remote alien species pumpkinseed (Lepomis gibbosus) and Chinese sleeper (Perccottus glenii), and neolimnetics, which actively expand within Ukraine: Ponto-Caspian gobiids, including Western tuberose goby (Proterorhinus semilunaris), Ukrainian stickleback (Pungitius platygaster), black-striped pipefish (Syngnathus abaster), and big-scale sand melt (Atherina boyeri). Indicative model ecosystems to carry out further research are determined on the basis of own field research of the project implementation period, and preliminary research and analysis of available data. Reconnaissance of the area is conducted, maps of the study areas are prepared for sampling. Preliminary expeditionary research (surveys) is carried out in a number of model regions (the Danube delta, water bodies of Southern Ukraine, and Middle Dnieper River) revealing 24 locations with remote aliens and neolimnetics which are objects of research and further monitoring. Previous parasitological studies have identified 35 species of parasites of different taxonomic groups: ciliates, monogeneans, trematodes, nematodes, etc. First study collections and fixation of samples for further molecular genetic studies are performed. Key words: alien fish species, neolimnetics, remote alien species, parasites, monitoring. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-12-15 Close
