The object of research – new selection material (F4-F6) of winter wheat, created with the participation of carrier-varieties of wheat and rye translocations 1AL/1RS and 1BL/1RS, phytopathological objects – pathogens. The subject of research – features of formation of elements of grain productivity in F4-F6 of bread winter wheat, genealogy of hybrids and original forms, resistance to leaf diseases, winter hardiness and biochemical analysis of the samples. Practical significance of the obtained results. The diseases of plants cause huge crop losses. In the twentieth century, according to the FAO, plant diseases caused the annual loss of wheat grain amounted to 33,3 million tons (worth $ 2.2 billion) in the world, which was 9,1% of the annual harvest of this important crop. Last time these losses have decreased, however, they remain economically significant, that requires some measures to eliminate them. New lines will be used for creating new varieties, which as a result of State Variety Testing, will have a guaranteed increase of grain to the national standard of at least 2 c/ha by increasing adaptive potential, which consists of group resistance to diseases. If the newly created variety occupies a minimal sown area of 7000 hectares (0,1% of the total), then the additional harvest of grain by improving the realization of the genetic potential of productivity will be 1400 tons. So, the receipts a year will be more than 4 million UAH. Besides, the cost of this grain will be lower because of the savings on chemical protection of crops against the diseases and technological operations. According to the importance for society and environment, it will be also the environmental factor by reducing the pesticide capacity.
