Of the studied methods of arc surfacing, minimal penetration during surfacing of parts with a flat or cylindrical surface provides open arc surfacing with self-protective flux-cored wires Ø 1.6-1.8 mm. It is shown that the level of deformation of thin sheets after arc surfacing is influenced by the following factors: the difference in the coefficients of thermal expansion (CTE) between the base and weld metals; structural transformations occurring in the weld metal during cooling; type and method of fastening the sheet. Of these factors, the greatest influence on the magnitude of residual deformations has the chemical composition and structure of the weld metal, which is manifested in the difference between the CTE, and the magnitude of structural transformations during cooling of the weld and base metal. To carry out research and industrial verification of research results under economic contracts with "Steel Work" wear-resistant surfacing with self-protective flux-cored wire PP-Np-150H6T4M steel sheets St3 size 3x400x600 mm and two-layer surfacing of armor plates measuring 5x400x600 mm with flux-cored wire PP-AN105 and advanced flux-cored wire PP-AN147. Experimental and industrial inspection confirmed the prospects for the use of industrial technologies and materials.
