LESS COMMON VEGETABLE CROPS, SELECTION, ORIGINAL FORM, VARIETY, MORPHOLOGICAL-IDENTIFICATION SIGNS, EVALUATION. The purpose of research is to expand the gene pool of varieties and lines of rare species of vegetable plants due to the introduction and methods of synthetic selection. The object of research is synthetic selection (hybridization, clonal and individual-family selections) of uncommon species of vegetable plants. The subject of the research is collection, selection-valuable and linear samples of chervil, fennel vegetable, two-rowed deciduous, hyssop, rhubarb and sorrel. During the period of 2016–2020, 2 lines of the double-leafed Zacharovana Desna and Lisova pisnia (2017) with a green mass yield of 19.4–21.5 t / ha, which is better than the standard variety by 16.9 –29.5%. In 2018, the following were transferred to the state variety testing: the variety of two-row thin-leaved Molodist with a green mass yield of 28.0 t / ha, which is 15.7% more than the standard variety; the variety of chervil Zhayvoronok a green mass yield of 21.2 t / ha, which is 22.5% more than the standard variety; medicinal hyssop variety Nebokray with a green mass yield of 28.7 t / ha at 23.3 t / ha in the standard. Transferred to the state variety testing in 2019: sour sorrel variety Start with green mass yield: 24.1 t / ha, which is 24.9% more than the standard variety; variety of lettuce stem Leleka yield of green mass - 35.6 t / ha, marketable stems - 15.5 t / ha. Transferred to the state variety testing in 2020: fennel variety Gostynets with a yield of marketable heads of 12.5 t / ha at 9.9 t / ha in the standard variety; Black Sea rhubarb variety Berezil with a yield of marketable cuttings of 27.1 t / ha, which is 17.3% more than the standard variety.
