The conceptual basis for the development of scientific and technological activity in Ukraine has been developed; the priority directions for the scientific and technological activity have been defined. A set of methodological approaches to assessing the state and prospects of scientific and technological activities in Ukraine has been suggested; the key pillars of socio-economic development have been identified; scientific support to develop the real sector of the economy has been provided. It is recommended to use the research results in order to develop the concept of scientific, scientific and technological, and innovative activities in Ukraine and development programs of certain sectors of the economy. The implementation of the proposed measures will increase the role of science and technology in the development of society, economy and state and ensure the creation of a modern, highly efficient socio-economic complex of the country, which can ensure high standards of living amidst global instability.
