Pisarenko Institute for Problems of Strength of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  Under the plan of the first step of the scientific project, the analysis of possible destructions of the blades of gas turbine engines has been carried out, namely: the destruction of dovetail joints of the blades and disks; breakage of blades during operation of aircraft gas turbine engines; loss of dynamic stability of compressor blades to subsonic flutter. Finite-element models of the gas turbine engine compressor with a dovetail joint of cantilever blades with a disk have been developed. It is shown that due to the dense spectrum of natural frequencies of the bladed disk the vibration localization may occur, which causes destruction of the disk joints. Also, the zones of high-stress intensity depending on the width of disk joints were determined. The results of a numerical study to determine the effect of blade frequency mistuning on the amplitudes of resonant vibration of the bladed disk and confirmed that the localization of their vibration due to the blade frequency mistuning is the cause of dangerous dynamic states of the disk.
