They are established on the example of populations of rare and widespread species of highlands of the Ukrainian Carpathians under the influence of anthropogenic, demutation and climatogenic factors. This process is accompanied by characteristic changes in the parameters of population size, age, sex and vitality structures. Comparative indicator features of the state of populations in the optimum, pessimum and on the verge of ecological tolerance are highlighted. The identified features can be used as markers to establish the status and prospects of development of populations of rare species. These diagnostic parameters are of practical importance for establishing the degree of threat and taking appropriate measures to restore their viability. The mechanisms of homeostasis under adverse effects and on the verge of ecological tolerance are primarily compensatory adaptive responses in the ontogenesis of individuals of populations, as well as the inertia of the vitality of reproductive individuals. Ontogenetic reactions are primarily to preserve under adverse conditions individuals of the adolescent group in the juvenile and immature phase of their viability for a longer time than under favorable conditions. Therefore, under the condition of favorable changes in their habitat, individuals of the undergrowth group provide self-recovery of the population by realizing their complete ontogenesis. Due to the inertia of vitality of medieval and old reproductive individuals in the population for a long time after the deterioration of living conditions still retains reproductive capacity.  Product Description popup.authors Bilonoha Volodymyr M.
