The direction of soil processes has been established and the criteria for the regulation of reclamation loads on dark chestnut soil in conditions of its various uses have been substantiated; the ecological and reclamation state of the soil is determined under various conditions of its use as a theoretical basis for fertility management and rational use; agromeliorative measures have been developed to preserve the fertility of irrigated lands. It was found that irrespective of the factors under study, irrigation with waters of the second class leads to the development of irrigation alkalinization of the upper 0-40 cm soil layer (transformation of the ion-salt composition of the soil solution, deterioration of the physical properties of the soil). With a seasonally reversed type of salt regime, a quasi-equilibrium state of solonetz processes is stored at the level of an average degree of secondary alkalinization with the adsorption of exchangeable sodium into the deep layers of the soil profile. It has been established that the use of differentiated basic soil cultivation and the application of mineral fertilizers reduces the negative impact of saline waters on individual indicators of soil fertility and crop yield during irrigation. The research results were used in the scientific substantiation of measures to ensure sustainable fertility of reclaimed lands, in the preparation of scientific and methodological recommendations on the ecological and reclamation state of lands in the irrigated zone of southern Ukraine; when developing a patent for a useful model to assess the efficiency of the ecological and reclamation state of irrigated lands.
