Object of research - methods of care (standard and neuro-developmental) of premature infants and their results; pain in newborns and its prevention, skin-to-skin contact, parental stress. The purpose of the study: to improve early (stabilization of vital functions, prevention of infectious and somatic pathology associated with premature birth) and long-term results (survival, morbidity, disability, physical, motor, speech and cognitive development, duration of breastfeeding) gestational age. Research methods: creating a database of premature babies; clinical, laboratory, instrumental, statistical. Neurodevelopmental care elements have been shown to improve short-term outcomes in preterm infants, including the risk of neurological complications (periventricular leukomalacia), severe retinopathy of prematurity, late sepsis, necrotizing enterocolitis, and antibacterial therapy, promote breastfeeding and improve physical development. The effectiveness of skin-to-skin contact has been studied in extremely preterm infants and it has been established that early, regular and long-term skin-to-skin contact has a positive effect on the results in this cohort of premature infant. Early skin-to-skin contact is associated with a reduced risk of developing bronchopulmonary dysplasia, cholestasis, and late sepsis. Prolonged daily skin-to-skin contact is associated with a lower incidence of late sepsis and promotes breastfeeding. In the study of the features of neonatal pain, it was proved that the NIPS scale (Neonatal Infant Pain Scale) in combination with the determination of physiological parameters of heart rate and saturation is valid for the clinical assessment of acute pain in newborns; and 30% glucose solution per os has a calming and analgesic effect with the stabilization of physiological parameters in newborns.
