The purpose of this work is to develop scientifically sound recommendations for the rational use of oxidized coal for the production of blast furnace coke. Research methods - standardized methods for determining the properties of coal - sieve, technical, petrographic, elemental determination of sintering and sintering capacity of coal, heat of combustion, grinding capacity, maximum moisture content, actual density, yield of coking chemicals. In laboratory, research-industrial and industrial conditions a comprehensive study of changes in the properties of the main brands of Ukrainian and foreign coking coal during its storage was performed. During the research, the kinetic parameters of oxidized coal, changes in the plastic-viscous properties of coal and its coking, the temperature of coal in the stack were determined. Studies of the influence of different methods of preparation of oxidized coal for coking on the quality of the obtained blast furnace coke have been carried out. The performed research on storage and preparation of oxidized coal for coking will help to improve the quality of Ukrainian metal products, which will affect the growth of economic potential and strengthen the country's defense capabilities.
