Technologies for evaluation and choice of barley genotypes by DNA markers to loci/genes, which are components of resistance of barley genotypes to adverse temperature conditions, which indirectly provide effective control of adaptive reactions of the barley plant organism to the environment, have been developed. A method for detecting common Vrn-H1 alleles (haplotypes), identification of functional and inactive alleles of Vrn-H2, Vrn-H3, Ppd-H1 and Ppd-H2 loci by PCR analysis of candidate gene polymorphism has been developed. PCR tests for rapid determination of Vrn- and Ppd- barley genotypes are proposed. Based on the obtained allelic characteristics of barley genotypes, an information database was created for the studied DNA regions. Allelic differences of the analiesd barley genotypes were determined, which can be used for characterization and choice of the initial plant breeding material. Degree of implementation was recommended for use in genetic and breeding programs and barley research by the relevant departments of NAS and NAAS of Ukraine in the educational process and graduate training of the relevant profile.
