The object of the research is the pollution of the atmospheric air and the soil surface by the emissions of radioactive substances from the nuclear power plants of Ukraine under normal and emergency operating conditions.
The purpose of the work is to assess the impact on air pollution and soil surface emissions of radioactive substances from Ukrainian NPPs under normal and emergency operating conditions.
Research methods - mathematical modeling of the spread of artificial radioactive substances in the atmospheric air and on the soil surface.
Calculations and substantiated radiation impact on the border of Ukraine of the consequences of radioactive emissions from Ukrainian NPPs under normal operating conditions and in case of emergencies. The most unfavorable meteorological conditions were selected at which the doses were maximum. It has been shown that the maximum value of doses for the elderly on the cordons of Ukraine does not outweigh the permissible limits of doses for the minds of the normal operation of the power units, for the reason of the failure of the design emergency situation. The risk was assessed.
