To characterize the gene pool of Hutsul and Polish grasshoppers, polylocus genotyping was performed using ISSR-PCR spectra of markers. The studied Hutsul horses were characterized by a high level of genetic polymorphism. The average value of the index of polymorphic information content (PIC) = 0.25, and the share of polymorphic loci (P) = 59.2%. Horses of the Polish grasshopper breed were characterized by a high degree of genetic consolidation.
