Purpose of the work: to create a theoretical basis for the development of ways to eliminate socio-legal and criminological consequences of the spread of pandemics and epidemics, negative for the Ukrainian society, to determine the principles of formation of an empirical base and to develop appropriate tools that will allow observing these phenomena in dynamics. The project is the first in-depth scientific development in the field of assessing the degree of damage to Ukrainian society from the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is based on the results of expert assessments and taking into account the opinions of ordinary citizens. Economic or socio-economic efficiency of work: achieving positive changes in society by eliminating / minimizing the negative impact of the socio-legal and criminological consequences of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ukraine. Significance of the work: 1) development of proposals for improving the current legislation; 2) the introduction the state of law and order in the country system of indicators, established on the basis of identifying the correlation between quarantine restrictions and the nature of crime; 3) dissemination of legal and criminological knowledge about the negative consequences of the phenomenon of epidemics / pandemics and ways to eliminate them; 4) introduction of the practice of operational criminal law analysis of the negative consequences of the spread of epidemics / pandemics affecting the state of law and order in the state; 5) the formation of "quarantine" consciousness of the population of Ukraine.
