The subject of the research is illegal actions of officials and materially responsible persons of enterprises, organizations (their structural subdivisions) operating in the gas industry, their contractors. The purpose of scientific work is to prepare and provide methodological recommendations on the organization of work of divisions of the prevention, detection and documentation of crimes and other offenses committed in the field of gas production, transportation, storage and supply. This goal led to the formulation and solution of the following tasks: study, analysis and generalization of legislative regulation of the gas industry in order to outline criminogenic determinants that contribute to criminal and other offenses committed in the field of gas production, transportation, storage and supply; characteristics of the main varieties and features, as well as ways of committing criminal offenses in the gas industry; study of measures of legal responsibility for violation of the legislation regulating activity in the gas branch of Ukraine.
