During the reporting period, the requirements of the Berne Convention and EU Directives № 2009/147 / EU and № 92/43 / EU on data on the assessment of the status of populations of species protected by this environmental legislation were analyzed. Collected and analyzed available data - scientific publications, departmental reports, etc. - on 52 species of invertebrates and vertebrates. For each of them, a species sketch, a list of sources of information, maps of finds and completed Bern report forms were prepared. In addition to maps, tables of finds of these species in Ukraine are also given for a number of species. An analysis of the shortcomings of the existing information base shows that the available scientific publications generally do not contain enough information for full-fledged reporting in the format of the Berne Convention. This applies to both the estimation of the number of species and its short-term and long-term trends, as well as the area of ​​species habitats, threat factors, the share of populations within the Emerald Network, and so on. Quantitative information on the status of "Bernese" species in Ukraine needs to be significantly improved. Key words: Berne Convention, vertebrates and invertebrates, state of species in Ukraine.
