A separate subject of research is the data of archeological cartography for search and research of archeological monuments of different times and types. The object of study are the materials of archaeological cultures of the North-Western Black Sea Coast, from the Paleometal Age to the late Middle Ages inclusive. Development of topics related to the study of economy and cultural ties of the population of Ukraine in the Stone and Copper-Bronze Ages, problems of history, material and spiritual culture of the Scythians, ancient Greeks, the population of Roman times living in the Northern Black Sea; study of the ethnocultural process in the Northern Black Sea region on the archeological monuments of the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Golden Horde, the Crimean Khanate and the Ottoman Empire, aspects of the cartography of archeological monuments. The social significance of the topic is that the obtained results allow to significantly clarify the modern concept of historical development of the ancient population of the North-Western Black Sea coast, and to more thoroughly determine the place of tribes and peoples living in this area among the population of Eastern Europe.
