The object of research is topical issues of history and linguistics. The aim of the study: - study of events and phenomena that took place in Slobozhanshchyna in a wide time and thematic range; - research of terminological systems of different branches of activity for their ordering and systematization; - study of historical and legal aspects of the development of modern legal systems of the world. The theoretical and methodological basis of research work is a combination of traditional and innovative methods of scientific knowledge. At the same time, both general scientific and specific for each science methods were used: cliometric, comparative-historical, problem-chronological, retrospective (for historical research); descriptive, structural, component analysis (for linguistic research); dialectical, comparative jurisprudence, problem-chronological, analysis and synthesis (for historical and legal research). The results of this research work was to clarify a number of unexplored and little-studied issues in the following areas of research: - history of Slobozhanshchina: features of incorporation of Sloboda Cossack officers to the Russian nobility are determined; the activity of charitable organizations during the First World War is studied; conducted biographical investigations of prominent figures of Slobozhanshchina; - terminological systems of different branches of activity: the specifics of the system organization of terminology of different branches are analyzed; the problems of criteria of unification of modern Ukrainian terminology and its ordering at the present stage of its development are investigated; - formation and development of legal (legal) education: the formation of legal (legal) education in the Ukrainian lands is analyzed; the stages of formation of legal education are determined; the development of legal education of the epoch of liberation struggles is investigated.
