The optical characteristics of the obtained composite ceramics were investigated. It is shown that the absorption band at the 457 nm wavelength corresponding to the absorption of Ce3+ ions decrease with increasing concentration of the sintering aid. In order to adapt the compaction methods of solid-state phosphors based on refractory oxide ceramics by slip casting, YAG powders were used as model systems. The rheological properties were investigated and the suspension composition of YAG nanopowder and DOLAPIX CE64 dispersant for slip casting were optimized. It is shown that the suspension water : solid phase : dispersant 49:50:1 wt. % demonstrates the properties of a Newtonian liquid. A hemispherical ceramic YAG blank with a diameter of 50 mm and an average thickness of 1.5 mm was obtained by the slip casting method followed by annealing.
