The object of research is impact-resistant composite ceramic materials based on refractory compounds for structural and functional purposes. The purpose of the work is to develop a method of computer design of new promising impact-resistant ceramic materials based on refractory compounds and construction of algorithms for its implementation. Research methods - computer modeling, X-ray structural and chemical analysis. The analysis and processing of the information available in the leading materials science databases about the studied class of materials is carried out, the starting set of objects of researches is allocated. From the first principles fragments of atomic structure of the chosen materials are calculated. The results of the calculations were used to estimate the Vickers hardness of the considered materials. A stable method for calculating fractal and multifractal characteristics as structural factors of composite materials based on their electron microscopic images is proposed. A refined method for determining a number of physical and mechanical properties of impact-resistant materials and calculation of penetration resistance has been developed. Al2O3-nano powders and prototypes of composites "high-strength aluminum alloy + reinforcing particles of refractory ceramics AlB12" were obtained and studied.
