The purpose of work is mastering of the improved technology of corundum lightweight products with advanced properties by the method of semi-dry pressing. The research methods are chemical, petrographical, physic mechanical, thermophysical ones. Based on the results obtained in the previous work, a technological instruction for the manufacture of lightweight thermal insulation products by semi-dry pressing was developed and approved. In the JSC «The URIR named after A.S. Berezhnoy» in accordance with the developed technological instruction the improved technology of corundum lightweight products by the method of semi-dry pressing with use of new brands alumina of N and N RA with the improved indicators of properties was mastered. In accordance with the regulatory documentation requirements and the contract terms in the JSC «The URIR named after A.S. Berezhnoy» the pilot batch of aggregate from calcium hexaaluminate lightweight briquette with an apparent density of 1.3 g/cm3 was produced and transferred to the Customer in full.
