Research methods: theoretical analysis and experiment, computer modeling, mathematical data analysis. A study of beam propagation and negative refraction was performed using analytically derived transfer functions for anisotropic meta-materials. In particular, a paraxial transfer function was obtained which was used to analyze the propagation of a Gaussian beam using the qparameter approach. It is shown how the transfer function can be used to determine the beam displacements at negative and positive refraction in a hyperbolic metamaterial. A new analytical basis for considering the process of radiation propagation through composite metamaterials has been created. A new mechanism for controlling Tamma plasmons by changing the refractive index of a liquid crystal over a metasurface by means of an external electric field has been discovered. It is shown that the state of orientation of the liquid crystal layer in the upper part of the ITO lattice affects the behavior of plasmon excitations in lattice systems, in particular, allows to control within 10-30% of the spectral characteristics of plasmon excitations.  Product Description popup.authors Atamas Nataliya A.
