Much of the application of laser vibrometry is related to the need to record the movements of several points on the surface, ie, to obtain a so-called acoustic portrait of the object. This problem is solved either with a single-beam laser vibrometer that scans the surface of the object, or multi-beam devices that allow simultaneous measurement of the movement of many points on the surface. The result of the project was the manufacture and study of a 6-beam model of a laser displacement meter. The frequencies of the rays probing simultaneously at different points on the surface differ from the local oscillator frequency by 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 MHz, ie we have phase-modulated signals at these frequencies. Further processing is performed using a 6-channel information converter AD6654. It is planned to use multi-beam devices to diagnose and control the parameters of navigation devices (for example, the spatial stability of the axis of sensitivity of laser gyroscopes and accelerometers). In the field of medicine, the use of multibeam laser meters will control the speed of propagation of nerve impulses, which is necessary in the development of a new neurosurgical technique for the restoration of affected nerves in humans and animals.
