ETHNO-CULTURAL HERITAGE, MATERIAL CULTURE, ETHNOGRAPHY, MOVABLE MONUMENTS OF CULTURE, OBJECTS OF MUSEUM SIGNIFICANCE, FOLK ART The object of the research are movable monuments of traditional folk culture of the villages of Lyubeshiv district of Volyn region, which suffered as a result of the Chornobyl catastrophe. The purpose of research work is the preservation of movable monuments of traditional life, economic activity and folk art of the inhabitants of Lyubeshiv district of Volyn region; formation of the museum fund of ethno-cultural heritage of Ukrainian Polissya. Research methods are field collection of ethnographic monuments, analytical processing and scientific inventory description of the collected material monuments, generally accepted methods of accounting and storage of museum objects. In 2015, as part of a comprehensive historical and ethnographic expedition to 26 settlements of the Lyubeshiv district of the Volyn region, 436 movable ethnographic monuments were collected and field described. During 2015–2016, a set of works on preliminary processing of the collected cultural monuments was performed and a scientific inventory of 429 museum objects was carried out. The results of the description of the objects of each group are reflected in the inventory cards, which provide accounting data, general ethnographic characteristics and morphological description of the object, information about the probable owner (manufacturer), photo-fixation of the object. The obtained research results will be used in the formation of the Museum - Archive of Folk Culture of Ukrainian Polissya, which will significantly supplement the existing knowledge about the folk culture of the studied areas.
