The research is based on the use of ultrasonic echolocation methods of shallow water areas, which minimize the field of reverberation obstacles and include theoretical confirmation of the possibility of improving the efficiency of bottom relief by hydroacoustic means, as well as practical confirmation of the proposed methods for studying shallow zones of Black and Azov sea. The scientific novelty of the results is as follows. A mathematical algorithm is proposed, on the basis of which a method designed to restore the relief of the bottom of the water area on the basis of hydrographic information is developed, and its numerical implementation is performed. The model of the acoustic field of the radiating antenna in the parametric mode is constructed and the model of difference frequency by means of which the mathematical model of the reflected signal from the model of a layered bottom is developed. The results of the work are expected to be fully implemented in sonar review of its own development, which the Center uses to study the relief of the bottom of shallow waters with high resolution, which will increase the likelihood of finding small and silted objects. The ship's mobile laboratory of hydroacoustics is created and its approbation during carrying out of complex research expeditions is carried out. The obtained results are expected to be used in the rational use of inland waters and the forecast of the bottom of the waters.
