Mechanisms of influence of structure on physical and mechanical characteristics of the specified systems. Purpose: Creation of new nanoscale compositions designed to improve the physicochemical properties of composite materials and protective coatings promising for use in dual technologies. Research methods: mechanochemical synthesis method, X-ray diffraction methods, microhardness, electron scanning microscopy. It is shown that composites based on corundum ceramics Al2O3, reinforced with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (Al2O3 / CNT), show improved mechanical properties. The addition of CNT in the amount of 1.5 wt.% In the Al2O3 matrix significantly increases the flexural strength (403.6 MPa) and crack resistance (4.21 MPa · m1 / 2) of composites, which is equivalent to a simultaneous increase in these indicators by 38 and 35 %, respectively. Nanosized carbides were obtained by MX synthesis from elementary d-metal powders (Mo, W, Ni) and CNT, which will be used to reinforce corundum ceramics to improve its mechanical properties. The efficiency of using CNTs to create nanosized NiC, the improved mechanical characteristics of which are shown: the hardness of the obtained material reaches 6.9–7.2 GPa. It is analyzed how the allotropic form of carbon used to make the charge affects the process of mechanochemical synthesis and the phase composition of the final product.  Product Description popup.authors Bilyavina Nadiya M.
