The object of research is the customs policy of the state. The subject of research is the theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of the formation and implementation of customs policy. The purpose of the work is to develop theoretical provisions and develop methodological support for improving the tools and forms of implementation of state customs policy. Research methods are logical generalization, method of comparative analysis, system and statistical analysis, logical and historical approaches, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction; comparative analysis; regression and trend analysis, classification-analytical. Objectives of the study: to consider the theoretical aspects of the customs policy of the state; generalize the evolution of the state customs policy; determine the relationship between customs and tax policy in the system of state regulation of the economy; analyze customs regimes and risks of their application; consider the main trends and the state of customs policy as a component of economic security of Ukraine; to determine the place of customs security in ensuring the economic security of the state; assess the security of the state and ways to ensure it; to substantiate the directions of improvement of the state customs policy on the basis of management of tariff regulation and prospects of introduction of innovation space within the limits of realization of customs policy. Theoretical provisions and some practical developments contained in the study are used in the educational process of S. Kuznets KNUE in teaching the disciplines "Fundamentals of Foreign Economic Activity and Customs", "Customs and Tariff Administration and Control", "Customs Regimes", "Tax System".
