The purpose of the work is to develop proposals for determining the rational composition and structure of the logistics units of the Land Forces of the AF of Ukraine and the procedure for their tasks. The research analyzed the logistics systems of the world's leading NATO member states, as well as the experience of technical and logistical support with the use of logistics elements during joint combat operations of military units of the Land Forces of the AF of Ukraine with other defense forces. An analysis of the experience of improving the system of logistics in the area of the joint forces operation. The analysis showed that the existing logistics system of the AF of Ukraine is cumbersome, inefficient, non-transparent, its structure and functioning create opportunities for the existence of corruption schemes. Based on the analysis, the tasks of the logistics units of the Land Forces of the AF of Ukraine and their refinement taking into account NATO standards were substantiated, as well as a methodology for assessing the effectiveness of logistics units and the Land Forces of the AF of Ukraine and proposals on the rational composition of logistics units tactical level ground forces.
