Purpose: development of the advanced methods of kinematic and power calculations of engineering structures. Research methods and equipment: theoretical analysis, mathematical modeling, packages of applied computer programs, modern computer technology. Results: mathematical models of a number of electromechanical systems have been created, nonlinear dynamics of these systems has been investigated. End-to-end computer programs for calculating the strength and rigidity of the defined I-beams have been created, which simplify and speed up the calculation process. A simplified two-dimensional mathematical model of forced oscillations of flat frames and trusses is proposed. Analytical dependences for the determination of axial forces in fastening parts of group threaded connection at their much-needed pair tightening have been obtained. A three-dimensional mathematical model of the motion of a spherical pendulum on a nonlinear elastic suspension under the action of variable aerodynamic lateral influence and a computer program for its implementation has been created. A dynamic model of extra heavy cargo transportation by two bridge cranes is created; an example of its application is given. A dynamic model of transportation of extra heavy loads by a bridge crane with traverse and bifilar fastening for optimization of the parameters of movement of the system has been developed. The ways for the improvement of the system of training of engineering personnel based on the competence approach and the newest technologies of education have been analyzed, the most effective of them recommended for implementation.
