VI Vernadsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  For the first time, 23 new Pd(II), Pt(II), Cu(I, II) and Ag(I) complex compounds based on N-allyl-substituted thioureas were synthesized and isolated in an individual state. All compounds were investigated by 1H NMR, IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy. The composition and structure of all obtained compounds were established by the method of elemental analysis and single crystal X-ray diffraction study. The study of the size of Pd(II) and Pt(II) n,π-chelate complexes showed that they are nanowires and macrobodies of layered-spongy structure about 60 nm thick, which depends on the nature of the substituent in the ligand, which in turn affects the packaging of molecules. Investigayion of the biological activity of the synthesized compounds was carried out: a) the method of their interaction with DNA polymerase molecules was determined; b) their effect on the violation of mitosis in Allium cepa cells was studied; c) the effect of the synthesized compounds on the properties of spheroids of breast adenocarcinoma MCF-7, hepatocarcinoma HepG2, Lewis lung carcinoma, mouse leukemia cells L1210 was studied. Studies have shown that the synthesized compounds are promising hybrid anticancer drugs with much more effective and extended action compared to cisplatin. In addition, in contrast to cisplatin, the resistance of the studied tumor cells to the action of chloride Pd(II) and Pt(II) n,π-chelate complexes is suppressed. Therefore, these compounds have great potential to become a major component in the development of a new generation anticancer drug. According to the results for 5 years 17 articles were published, 17 abstracts of reports and one article was submitted for publication. In part, the results of this agreement were included in doctoral and candidate dissertations, which were successfully defended on 14.01.2016 and 23.03.2017.
