The peculiarities of observance of the principles of financial stability by investment funds in modern conditions in Ukraine are specified. The principles of financial stability of investment funds, which are opposite to the rules of creating fraudulent financial pyramids, are substantiated. The economic reasons for the existence of regional investment funds are considered, and the reasons for the success of individual financial structures, which are essentially the relevant funds, are analyzed. The structure of the balance sheet of the regional investment fund is determined, which allows to adhere to certain principles of financial stability and use financial leverage. The theoretical and methodological approach to the selection of effective investment objects (mainly stocks) on the stock market without the availability of insider information in order to improve the regulation of regional investment processes was considerated. The theoretical and methodological approach to optimizing the investment portfolio of securities is considered. Its positive qualities and shortcomings are specified. The practical use of this approach is shown on the example of the US stock market. An algorithm for its application was proposed, which is based on a step-by-step assessment of the efficiency of investments from sectors (industries) to individual companies, taking into account the growth rate of the stock index S & P-500.
