Among many design types of locking and sealing devices, a widespread have become seals with a rotary locking mechanism which is due to the simplified process of their installation without usage of additional equipment. The development of the scientific research work is to create and unify the procedure for performance of trasological researches of the seals with a rotary locking mechanism which will provide a unified approach to conducting research in the expert specialty 4.2 "Research of tools, aggregates, instruments and traces left by them, identification of the whole by parts." The method contains general provisions and basic terms, defines the structure and sequence of actions of a forensic expert during forensic trasological research and stages of research of seals with a rotary locking mechanism, gives means of measuring technics and research equipment. The work illustrates types of seals with a rotary locking mechanism and the construction of the most common seals. To determine the evaluation of the results of the research various ways of influencing the construction of the seal with illustrative material to them described in details.
