The subject of research is the appearance of prion-like proteins in plants under the influence of abiotic stressors. The aim of the work is to study the activity of a number of genes, related to the stress response, in particular, ionizing and UV radiation, salinity, magnetite nanoparticles, drought, climatic conditions etc., in order to search for proteins with amyloid/prion properties in plants. Research methods: qPCR, FTIR and Raman spectroscopy, protein and free amino acids isolation, morphometric analysis, molecular biological methods, statistical methods of data processing and analysis. The obtained results indicate a change in the proportion of β-structures in proteins under the action of stress factors, which allows both the appearance of prion-like properties as well the prevention of formation of amyloid-like aggregates. Based on the collected data of FTIR spectra of arabidopsis, flax, soybean, poplar, willow, chickpea, Parrotia persica, barley, wheat, peas plant tissues database was created.
