On the basis of the obtained activators the plastic scintillators were manufactured and their functional properties were studied. The interactions of oxide-containing admixture with the cations of CsBr+LiBr and CsBr LiBr+YBr3 model systems were investigated and the corresponding thermodynamic parameters were calculated. The routine of growing single crystals of Cs2Li(Y0,999Ce0,001)Cl6 material was developed and these crystals were grown. Their quality meets present-day requirements of the scintillator consumers.
