In this respect, swamps and wetlands appear to be a unique object of study - they are important components of the landscape, capable of long-term carbon deposition. Today, the generation and absorption of carbon by wetland systems is one of the least studied issues in the assessment of environmental and climate change. The study of the carbon cycle, including emissions and removals in the context of current climate change and anthropogenic pressures, is an important and urgent task in terms of refining climate models and more accurately determining climate impacts on the environment and society. An effective tool for monitoring the processes occurring in the natural environment under the influence of climate change, in particular the identification of patterns of wetland distribution, is the use of remote sensing data from the Earth. This is facilitated by the ever-increasing number of remote sensing satellite groups operating in space, as well as the continuous improvement of space information processing technologies. Ground-based experimental works should be used to assess the reliability and accuracy of remote sensing data interpretation, as well as to study the dynamics of changes in vegetation status using detailed route observations.
