The purpose of the research and development work is, based on the analysis of tasks that can be performed by the National Guard of Ukraine (NSU) grouping during stabilization actions in the territories liberated from the enemy, to substantiate the typical procedure for conducting a search in an NP located outside the combat zone. The results of the research work are planned in the practical activities of the Main Directorate of the NSU, the OTO departments of the NSU, formations and operational units of the NSU when planning search activities for armed criminals in settlements outside the area of hostilities. Results of the work: systematization and study of modern tactics of conducting search operations in the NP located outside the combat area by the forces of NSU subdivisions and units; substantiated the rational structure of the NSU grouping, designed to search for armed criminals in the NP; the methodology for determining the plan for the search for armed criminals in the NP; a number of analytical dependencies to determine the sufficient numerical composition of individual elements of the grouping and grouping as a whole; a methodology for determining the required functional and numerical composition of the NSU grouping, designed to search for armed criminals in the NP; approaches to the procedure for assessing the effectiveness of a grouping at the stage of operational planning and when conducting a search.
